Painting and Carpentry Restoration in Center City Philadelphia

Project Overview

Unfortunately today, the cornices and east facing wall are in need of repair and painting. In doing this necessary work we will be using Romabio mineral based paint, which is a high-performing, mineral masonry paint made for extreme durability for the interior or exterior. A beautiful, permanent flat finish that is naturally mold resistant, toxin-free, and environmentally friendly.

Mineral paints are breathable and calcify to the masonry surface allowing moisture to release creating a longer lasting finish with low maintenance.

Much of what we do is undoing mistakes made by other contractors. Perhaps motivated by a cheap price, decisions are made and we must come in and restore abuilding, oftentimes redoing much of the work until we get down to the original metal or wood.

This famous row of Voctorians seems to get photographed and instagrammed every day! 705 S. 3rd had fallen into major disrepair. The metal bay was completely falling apart in spots, especially the seams, which allow water (and wildlife) to enter.

Interior Painting & Window Replacement

This 1920’s bungalow style house is quite unlike the other houses in the area. We painted the entire exterior, and installed new windows throughout, adding in a 3-panel picture window which opened up the first floor to great possibilities!
